Tn walking horse babies are much smaller than the fully developed horse.
These are multigaited, but the so called running gait is a matter of great interest. It is characterized by over-stepping movement of their rear legs, which contributes to the smoothness of the gait. This breed has a very rich background and was developed by selective breeding.

When this animal is running the hind legs over-stride the front track. Hooves hit the ground in a consecutive pattern, and the head makes characteristic nods keeping time with the beat. Riding this equine creates an impression of being propelled by a high quality engine. Tn walking horse babies are much smaller than the fully developed horse.
